Dear Neighbors,

Public schools and higher education institutions have been severely challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic to find innovative ways to provide instruction and do so in safe environments. Houston Community College has been no exception.

Early on, the college adapted most of its traditional college courses to online learning formats. Consequently, HCC students today have more ways to learn than ever before.

 

The college follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to keep students protected as much as possible from COVID-19. Students are screened upon arrival, including a temperature check. HCC facilities are stringently cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. Social distancing is maintained.

With precautions such as these in place—and with the availability of numerous online or hybrid courses—students can return to their college studies with confidence this spring. Already registration is underway for classes that begin January 19.
