The Houston Community College Foundation received an Award of Distinction from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The accolade recognizes businesses and non-profits in the Greater Houston Area for their achievements and commitment to overall excellence and quality in the workplace.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from the Better Business Bureau on behalf of the students we serve through scholarship support and our work in the community,” said Carme Williams, HCC Foundation executive director.

The HCC Foundation was one of 314 companies recognized at the 23rd Annual Better Business Bureau Awards for Excellence. This is the first time the HCC Foundation has received such an honor.

“We work hard to provide top notch service to our students and access to higher education. It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts,” said Shawn Taylor, HCC Foundation Board president.

Annually, the HCC Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving HCC students.
