HCC Adult Education Program announces Accelerate Texas Week (Nov. 9-15)

Did you know adult learners at Houston Community College can train for high paying jobs that are in-demand while they complete their GED or learn English?
It's called Accelerate Texas and HCC is among the first community colleges to practice this innovative method of preparing people to enter employment in high demand jobs:
- Computer Aided Drafting
- Health Information Processing
- Computer and Network Support
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning
- Computer Numerically Controlled Machining
- General Office Assistant
- Residential Wiring
- Construction
- Plumbing
- Welding
Because the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board wants everyone to know about this fast, affordable way to put people to work, the board is adopting November 9-15, 2014 as Accelerate Texas Week.
In-district students at HCC enrolled in Accelerate Texas programs are eligible for reduced tuition and financial aid assistance is available regardless of residency, plus all students accepted into Accelerate Texas programs receive support classes that help them complete their coursework and find jobs.
