Why did you choose HCC Coleman College?
I enrolled at HCC Coleman College based on its excellent testing performance and well-versed connections. I also felt supported during my enrollment time.

Why did you choose your program of study?
I chose Respiratory Therapy because it mends well with my outgoing personality while adding patient care on top of it. This field will give me the best of both worlds, so I know I will enjoy going to work every day, which will enhance my capabilities and improve patient outcomes.

What do you like best about your college experience?
The meaningful connections I made from staff to classmates is the best thing about my college experience. I met so many amazing people on Coleman’s campus.

What do you like best about your program of study?
I enjoyed attending clinicals the most. It is where I got to put what I had learned in the classroom setting into real practice.

When you were tired, what motivated you to push forward?
From a personal perspective, God and my family pushed me to keep moving forward because I knew they believed in me. From a broader perspective, I would say knowing that patients need people with my qualifications in the hospital pushed me as well because if we don't do it, who will?

What advice can you offer to help other students succeed?
Never lose sight of the end goal. The journey will be hard, consuming, and sometimes miserable, but I have come to learn that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

How did your education change or improve your life?
My education not only gave me in-demand skills, it gave me the networking abilities and the opportunities to reach out to people, which enhanced my ability and growth. It's made me a better person because of it.
