HEERF III Emergency aid available for students

Jul 13, 2021

In early March 2021, President Joe Biden signed the American Rescue Plan of 2021(ARP). The ARP appropriated nearly $40 billion for the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) and embodies the third round of funding used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To be eligible a student must be enrolled in Fall 2021 semester to receive HEERF III funding beginning Fall 2021 and extending through the Spring of 2022. More information regarding the request process and deadline will be available on the Emergency Aid webpage in August 2021.

Students will be able to use this funding to cover any costs of attendance.

This can include tuition, books, technology, childcare, healthcare, housing, food, etc.

Students can expect email communications from the Financial Aid Office in August, letting them know when funds are available and how to request them. Students can also keep an eye on the Financial Aid Emergency aid webpage for updates regarding the HEERF III funding.
