HCC partners with PepsiCo Foundation's Uplift Scholarship program

The educational path for Black and Hispanic students at HCC just got better with fresh funding of $600,000 from The PepsiCo Foundation for the college to offer a broad range of technical education and training.

Kyle Washington, GM market director for PepsiCo Beverages North America, presented the check to kick off the partnership between HCC and The PepsiCo Foundation during the HCC Board of Trustees meeting Wednesday, April 21.

HCC is among the first four community colleges in the nation to partner with The PepsiCo Foundation Uplift Scholarship program aimed at leveling the playing field for Black and Hispanic students to secure in-demand jobs with livable and sustainable wages.
