Local entrepreneur generously donates to HCC’s Center for Entrepreneurship

Houston Community College’s Center for Entrepreneurship is now the Glenda & David Regenbaum Center for Entrepreneurship at Northwest College. This past April Glenda and David Regenbaum generously donated $100,000 to the Center to support entrepreneurial initiatives to help educate and nurture the growth of small businesses. The center is located at HCC Northwest Alief Hayes campus in West Houston.
David and Glenda moved to Houston from South Africa in 1979 and established Association Management, Inc. (AMI), a highly successful business specializing in the management of condominium and homeowners associations. Prior to their arrival in the U.S., David was a practicing attorney and the founding partner of Regenbaum, Rapeport, Fanaroff and Partners, a law firm that he started in 1964 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Regenbaums sold AMI in 2014, and David joined HCC in 2015 as a volunteer, totally donating his time and entrepreneurial expertise as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence. David created this position to provide guidance to individuals who are starting or growing their own companies. As a result, HCC now has four Entrepreneurs-in-Residence who serve at each of HCC’s Centers for Entrepreneurship.
David also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the HCC Foundation, which is dedicated to providing scholarships and grants promoting student success through philanthropic support aligned with key HCC institutional initiatives. He is also a faculty member for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, leads the training in the HCC Business Plan Competition, and designed and teaches the HCC Small Business Success Program, a curriculum of five practical courses designed to provide the basic structure of a business.
Glenda is also active in the Houston community. She served as the Executive Director of Holocaust Museum Houston from 1995 to 1997, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care and is a volunteer at Jewish Family Services. Glenda also creates unique jewelry and is the managing member of Only Yours Jewelry, a division of Luda Enterprises, LLC.
HCC is grateful for the Regenbaum’s contributions to the college through both their entrepreneurial leadership and philanthropic gifts. Their support and leadership has been invaluable and their counseling and mentoring has been an inspiration to countless prospective and existing entrepreneurs and small business owners.
