HCC students make presentation at UHD Gender Conference

HCC students Afaf Mirza, Charles Delgado and Mellissa Martinez were selected to make a presentation at the University of Houston-Downtown’s Gender Conference on April 4.

The trio, which forms the Psi Kappa Northwest Researchers team under the direction of Psychology Professors Nausheen Pasha-Zaidi and Ilija Gallego, presented their paper, titled "Putting the 'Community' in Community College: The Influence of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Ethnic Identity on Academic Resilience among Latinx Community College Students” at the conference.
