Houston Community College Acres Homes Campus will serve as the host location for the Texas Black Expo ASPIRE Youth Entrepreneurship Summer Camp, which takes place June 17-28.

The annual expo offers a two-week camp to introduce students, ages 13–15 years old, to principles of entrepreneurship and teach the basic foundations of running a small business. The Black Texas Expo has partnered with HCC’s Corporate College and the Acres Homes Campus to provide classroom space as well as sessions on business topics. Founder Jerome Love believes that the campus location and amenities are perfect what for they seek to achieve with the camp.

Student participants will learn about entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing, leadership, real estate, and chambers of commerce in breakout sessions as well as take field trips to area businesses. The annual expo encourages Houstonians to support small businesses. The planned summer camp will empower youth and prepare them for success.
