HCC gets down to business with winners of Business Plan Competition

Houston Community College (HCC) Northwest honored its 2019 graduates and the winners of its HCC Business Plan Competition last month at West Houston Institute.
The competition provided an opportunity for proposed, startup and existing entrepreneurs to develop focused plans to start or grow their businesses.
Participants received:
- Free training and mentoring.
- Seed money to the top five teams.
- Thousands of dollars in cash, prizes and support services awarded to winners.
- (Last year $26,000 cash was awarded in cash to the top five teams, with $30,000 in in-kind prizes and $78,000 in support services)
