Egg-cellent hunt awaits students at HCC Stafford Campus on April 12

Mar 30, 2017

The Houston Community College (HCC) Stafford Campus Student Library Advisory Council (SLAC) is looking high and low, inside and outside, for good hiding spots on the Stafford Campus grounds to place their brightly-colored eggs during the upcoming HCC Southwest College Easter Egg Hunt. They’re hoping childhood memories and the thrill of the hunt will encourage students, faculty and staff to participate in the Wednesday, April 12 event. One lucky participant could even win a drone!

“This is not your traditional Easter egg hunt,” says Alexa Azzopardi, HCC Stafford Campus SLAC Faculty Advisor. “It’s one egg per person. Students will find one egg and receive one prize. Whether it’s candy, the portable speaker or the drone, it all depends on the egg you choose!”

There will be over 1,600 eggs to find during the Easter egg hunt egg-travaganza. All eggs will have sweet treats, but some will contain even bigger prizes that will have students screaming with excitement.

The hunt will go on morning, afternoon and evening and Stafford Campus SLAC students will continuously hide the eggs until they are gone. This day-long hunt allows all students, faculty and staff a chance to win the the drone! Other big prizes include:

The hunt will take place at all four buildings: the Learning Hub, Scarcella Building, Fine Arts Building and the new Stafford Workforce Building. For more information on Easter Egg Hunt times, contact Alexa Azzopardi at alexa.azzopardi@hccs.edu.
