The Houston Community College Governors Merit STEM Summer Program continues to provide students with unbelievable opportunities. Tenth and 11th grade students from the Houston area got to interact with marine biologists from the NOAA and the animals in their care. 

Students were bused to the NOAA Fisheries Galveston Laboratory, where they used science to identify certain species of fish. They learned about the biology of sea turtles and the techniques used in preserving the endangered species. 

Every summer galleries throughout Southeast Texas proudly join together to exhibit print work in the PrintHouston 2015 exhibition. Houston Community College took part in the event and partnered with PrintMatters Houston to host Impressions 2015. 

The West Loop Campus Gallery installment is one showing out of 25 of the most prestigious museums and galleries spanning from Houston to Galveston, including the Museum of Fine Arts. It showcases some of the most noted print artists in the Gulf Coast area and runs through the end of July.
