RPC Global Owner Abe Gonzalez has a massive assembly line of sorts operating in an 11,500 square-foot warehouse on the Southwest side of Houston.  Employees take in unwanted computers, dismantle them, scan them for inventory, wipe the hard drives, and recycle the rest.

What can be salvaged goes towards building new computers or goes on sale as individual items on eBay. It’s a model that has worked wonders for RPC Global since Gonzalez graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at Houston Community College. Gonzalez said the program showed him the financials, marketing and human resources to grow his business to the next level.

RPC Global will continue to capitalize on the skills and information learned from the program and look for innovative and environmentally friendly ways to keep electronics out of landfills.
