In observance of Veterans Day, Houston Community College paid tribute to those who have served to protect the freedoms of the United States with an event at the HCC District building.

HCC Central College President Dr. William Harmon spoke about the more than 3,000 veterans HCC proudly serves and Chancellor Dr. Cesar Maldonado shared his thoughts on Veterans Day and talked about what veterans mean to HCC.

The HCC Office of Veterans Affairs encouraged all veteran students, faculty and staff members to "Stand and Be Counted.” Veterans in attendance were recognized for their efforts and were presented with special lapel pins and ribbons.
