May 29, 2015

High school students from Alief ISD visited Houston Community College's Alief Hayes Rd. Campus.

The 160 student attendees were part of LINC (Language Institute for Newcomers), which is a program for Alief high schoolers who are recent immigrants to the United States. Assisting students in their acquisition of the English language, this program combines teaching academic content and real world skills.

Upon arriving on campus, students were divided into several groups and taken on a tour, including the administrative and student services offices, library and UT-Tyler Houston Engineering Center.
