S.T.A.R. presents HCC Southwest star parties

HCC S.T.A.R. Squad's observing nights (known as "star parties") happen every two weeks from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, throughout the spring semester. Telescopes are set up to observe the sun, moon, planets, stars and other various celestial bodies. On occasion, microscopes are also set up to view meteorites, along with monitors and laptops for slideshows and presentations.

The STAR Party schedule for Spring 2014 semester is listed below. Be on the lookout for parties at Stafford, Gulfton, West Loop and Missouri City campuses. "Like" us on our Facebook page and watch for updates on the STAR squad.

★ Monday, Feb. 24th - Missouri City Campus

★ Wednesday, Mar. 5th - West Loop Campus

★ Wednesday, Mar. 19th - Stafford Campus

★ Monday, Mar. 24th - Missouri City Campus

★ Wednesday, Apr. 2nd - Gulfton Campus

★ Wednesday, Apr. 16th - Stafford Campus

★ Wednesday, Apr. 30th - West Loop Campus
