HCC and Jacobs Program Management host second networking event for Groundbreaker Bond Program

As construction gears up on major bond construction projects, Houston Community College (HCC) and Jacobs Program Management Co. have set the date for their next small business enterprise (SBE) networking event. The event takes place at the HCC West Loop Center from 8:00 a.m.  to10:30 a.m., Friday, July 11.

SBEs should mark their calendars to attend this free networking event, which will introduce prime contractors in charge of construction projects for HCC’s $425 million Groundbreaker Bond Program. Industry experts will be on hand to provide advice to SBEs about bonding, banking and insurance. The event will also feature breakout sessions on related topics that will be helpful to SBEs.

HCC begins construction on its Groundbreaker Bond Program in 2014, which includes a total of 14 projects across its six colleges. This second networking event showcases HCC’s small business engagement program, GameChanger, which has a goal of awarding 35 percent of bond construction work to SBEs.
