Board of Trustee Statements

Dear Houston Community College Colleagues:

The Houston Community College (HCC) Board of Trustees remains committed to keeping you both engaged in and informed about the process of selecting a permanent chancellor for HCC. As we advance this important initiative, our immediate plan is to allow implementation of a proposed 90-day plan presented to the HCC governing board on September 27, 2023, by Interim Chancellor, Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher. The plan serves the purpose of guiding key college initiatives in the near term.

Please anticipate periodic updates regarding our permanent chancellor search. We consider your interest and connection to the selection process as invaluably beneficial. This is an important responsibility; thus, ensuring you are aware of the related activities is likewise important to the Board of Trustees.

Together we will ensure that HCC continues to be the source of opportunity and hope for our dynamic community. Thank you for all that you do for HCC and our students.
