HCC Adult Education students awarded state organization's GED scholarships

Nana Yeboah and Emily Holbrook of the HCC Adult Education program have been notified that they are recipients of the 2016 Texas Adult Literacy And Education (TALAE) GED Awards.

These awards are presented to the TALAE student members whose total GED test scores place in the highest percentile across Texas. Candidates must be members of TALAE prior to taking the GED tests.

Recipients receive a one-time award of $1,200. Nana and Emily were students of Ms. Sharon Gaudin, Adult Education Instructor at Central Campus.

TALAE is the professional organization for Texas' Adult Education faculty and administrators.
