HCC Alternative Grant

The HCC Alternative Grant is awarded to students who do not qualify for federal or state aid or who have been determined to have need for grant assistance and do not qualify for any other assistance. Awards are based on availability of funds.

Criteria for Alternative Grant Assistance:

Completed a FAFSA or TASFA and have unmet need
Have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 GPA or higher (exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances)
Enrolled in 6 or more credits (exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances)
Meets Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) - Not on financial aid warning, probation, or suspension
Award amounts may vary based on costs and need
